Creating New Life
This piece takes inspiration from ledger art as well as all of the new lives popping up. Ledger art is a narrative drawing or painting on ledger paper originally used by Plains Indians as documentation usually in war. I thought about this idea and it didn’t resonate with me, but what did was drawing on pieces of lined paper like this during class. For my childhood, during school I would sometimes use art as a way to talk to my friends, this same kind of oral tradition that was shown pictorially through ledger art.
